Ivan Schranz scored only after mix-up in Belgian defence

Romelu Lukaku has two second-half goals

Ivan Schranz scored the winning goal as Slovakia stunned Belgium 3-2 in a thrilling match in Frankfurt on Friday.

Slovakia, who had lost their opening match to Poland, took the lead in the 10th minute when Schranz pounced on a mistake by Jan Vertonghen to score from close range.

Romelu Lukaku equalised for Belgium in the 25th minute with a powerful header, but Slovakia regained the lead just seven minutes later when Jakub Hromada scored with a low shot from outside the box.

Lukaku equalised again in the 57th minute with another header, but Slovakia refused to give up and they eventually got the winning goal in the 74th minute when Schranz scored his second of the game.

The win was Slovakia's first in the tournament, and it puts them in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages.
